I had the dream to start a blog. And while my name is not John Henry Eden, it is good to talk with all of you, dear Internet community.
In more normal terms, it's good to establish my first post and to step outside the confines of Facebook. This is my blog, and I intend to maintain a focus on "the media," along with some occasional creative writing. The media, however, could be anything: games, music, movies, books, marketing, censorship, public response, etc. I don't want to review these products of and for the people, but I do want to discuss and examine them. So let's see where that goes.
As for me, I am a reader, a writer, a gamer, a moviegoer, an American, and a student of science journalism and of environmental science.
I do really intend for this to be eclectic, so there will be some freedom in the subjects I cover, or perhaps those which you want hosted in (yet another) public forum.
So let's take a moment to tear ourselves from all the screens and inundation of information in our lives, and ummm....direct our attention back to our screens?
